Fellows 2025 announced
Next year, the Allard Pierson's second cohort of fellows will start. With the fellowships, various researchers from home and abroad in different stages of their careers are given the opportunity to do research for one to three months within the extensive collections of the Allard Pierson - the collections of the University of Amsterdam.

Ten fellowships were available. The selection committee chose the following fellows:
- Vanessa Steenbergen-Titchmarsh fellow for the Artis Library
Andrea Kieskamp - Biographical research on algal scientist Anna Weber-van Bosse - Allard Pierson fellow for the Mennonite library
Chris Huebner - In the book of Martyrs. The role of communication within the 17th-century Doopsgezinde community - Allard Pierson fellow for provenance research
Christos Tsirogiannis - Provenance research on illicit trade. Reconstructing networks around archaeological objects - Joop Frankvoort-van der Meer fellow for circus collections
Doina Kraal - TAROT (Funfair Tarot – Tarot des Forains). Spectacular culture in the 19th century - Friends of the Allard Pierson fellow
Ellen Hausner - The rise of the character: An abstract method of transmitting meaning in alchemical texts - Friends of the Allard Pierson fellow
Martine van Ittersum - The working papers of Hugo Grotius in the Remonstrant Collection at the Allard Pierson - Reinjan Mulder fellow voor de literaire collecties
Tim Vergeer - ‘These Turbulent Times’: Emotions in the poetry of Maria Louiza Carelius as a mirror of the eighteenth century - Louise O. Fresco fellow for the history of food and nutrition
Sanne Steen - The how and the why of vegetable gardening. The image of the kitchen garden in Dutch manuals from the seventeenth to the twentieth century - Euphemia fellow for fine prints before 1800
Pax Veerbeek - An art historical study of the 18th-century reception and reproduction context of Raphael's Loggia di Leone X and Loggia di Psyche - Piet and Etty Sijpesteijn fellow for papyri in the Allard Pierson collection
Mark de Kreij - The acquisition history of the Greek papyri in the Allard Pierson collection - Allard Pierson fellow for cartography
