Espresso bar
Enjoy a perfect espresso, cappuccino or other coffee speciality in one of the city's most beautiful spots. The Espresso Bar is open to all, you are welcome without having to pay a visit to our museum. Take a seat and enjoy the view of the canal boats and the historic shops on the Rokin.
Our Espresso Bar menu features local Amsterdam, organic and vegetarian products. Savour our delicious gateaux and cakes, or opt for brunch with a cup of artisanal soup, a toastie or a vol-au-vent.
The Espresso Bar offers a taste of the atmosphere of the Allard Pierson with its inexhaustible font of knowledge and stories.

Tuesday to Sunday from 10 a.m. to 5 p.m.
Closed on New Year's Day, King's Day and Christmas Day

Museum shop
Our Museum Shop is situated next to the Espresso Bar. Open Tuesday to Sunday from 10am to 5pm, the Museum Shop’s range includes a selection of books, cards , beautiful reproductions, gifts and souvenirs for all ages.
