Giving and tax relief

Protecting special collections in the fields of history, art and science while benefiting from tax relief. Thanks to the Geefwet, the Dutch government scheme for tax relief on donations, donations to foundations are often tax-deductible up to certain limits. Donations to cultural institutions such as the Allard Pierson can even provide extra tax benefit for you.

The Allard Pierson: a cultural ANBI

The Allard Pierson is registered by the Dutch Tax Administration as a cultural ANBI. This can provide tax benefits for you, depending on your personal situation:

Extra gift deduction for individuals

As a private individual, your donation to a cultural ANBI is fiscally attractive as it allows you to deduct 1.25 times the amount of your donation from your taxable income. This means that your support of the Allard Pierson offers greater benefit, both to us and to you.

Tax benefit for companies

Companies paying corporate income tax can deduct donations to cultural ANBIs from their profits. This makes donating extra advantageous for companies too.

Gift and inheritance tax exemption

The Allard Pierson is fully exempt from tax on donations and inheritances. This means that every euro of your donation goes directly towards our activities. Whether you make a one-off donation, a regular donation or leave a gift in your will, your contribution will fully benefit our goals.

All current information can be found on the website of the Dutch Tax Authority (Belastingdienst)
