The Allard Pierson is organizing a workshop on decolonization and the UvA collections. The Allard Pierson is developing a DEI policy and implements this, among other things, through the museum's programming. During this afternoon you will visit the Verhalenkabinet to see a small presentation on (post)colonial literature which is currently on display. Afterwards, we invite you to take part in a brainstorm session on our two upcoming exhibitions 'slavery' and 'blackface in theater', and we will explore how the Allard Pierson collections can contribute to an inclusive and equal society.
