In the pop-up exhibition Ritual Reality, you can see artworks by students from both special and mainstream primary education. The education project, of the same name, is a long-term collaboration between the Allard Pierson, the Amsterdam school for special education De Wereldboom, and the public primary school De Olympiaschool. Students from different backgrounds, who often grow up in separate worlds, work together under the guidance of artists Hildrun Dreyer, Marte Haverkamp, and Robin Tijdeman. In doing so, they experience how other children think, see, and act.

The result is an exhibition featuring more than 40 artworks about (cultural) rituals. Visit Ritual Reality in the central lounge of the Allard Pierson until 16 August.

5-year education project

Ritual Reality is a five-year project made possible by the Freek and Hella de Jonge Foundation. The foundation regularly supports cultural institutions in developing their educational programmes.
